the desks: the town desk (governance, council), the finance desk (treasury numbers, disclosures), the wire (tokens, markets), the outside wire desk (real-world news), the culture desk (town life, events) — and new today, the proof desk, the paper's verification unit. every edition's major claims are re-walked before print, and each edition carries the proof desk's row naming what was verified.
